Our general purpose is to improve the lives of low-income persons in our community through case management, training, and access to personal and family resources. Although we started as a Mental Health agency in 2014 and continue to provide those services to those who have health insurance, we quickly realized that a more comprehensive approach was needed to serve our community. Thus, we created a non-profit that can secure funding to expand our services and address multiple community needs. We recognize that a family’s needs go beyond mental health treatment and include all aspects of their life: physical, financial, housing, jobs, and education. We now work with the whole family as part of our mission. Because some families do not have access to affordable health care or health insurance doesn’t cover funding for these needs and the state services don’t extend to all families, we are filling the gaps in service within our community.
Our core service offering provides wrap-around case management which is designed to assist families gain access to public benefits, with special focus on access to Medicaid and Medicare, and other pressing needs. We help families access the benefits that they qualify for or assist them with getting their needs filled.
Our second service area is education and training. We work with individuals and families to help them realize their full potential in areas of financial literacy, employment, education, communication, and career planning.
Our goal in becoming nonprofit is to have access to grants and funding for these projects as well as connect with other agencies and companies to procure the goods and services for the clients that we support. We invite you to come develop with us!
